PAYCE donates $5000 to Annual Community Charity Event

PAYCE, a leading Australian property development company, is pleased to participate as an official supporter of one of the largest community fundraising events to take place in the Sutherland Shire.

The IMB Bank Cook Community Classic provides fundraising opportunities to many small community groups, charities, and sports clubs, held each November at Cronulla Beach and the Cronulla Park surrounds.

Sunday 22nd November sees the 8th annual IMB Community Classic. The 2014 event was attended by a crowd of around 5000 spectators and families, a similar turn-out is expected this year.

Local organisations participate in the event by hosting a carnival stall or selling tickets for the charity raffle and with local organisations providing the entertainment for the event, it allows the community to support those who support the community, while everyone has a fun day out.

Local organisations appreciate corporate support for publicity and promotional overheads that would otherwise stretch their time budget constraints to the limit, much of which is contributed on a voluntary basis by members of the community.

Local organisations can therefore raise funding, generate plenty of publicity, with no promotional overheads.

PAYCE first sponsored the event in 2014, and the company has donated $5,000 towards this year's event in support of local community and charity groups.

Groups helped include; Kookaburra Kids, 2nd Caringbah Scouts, NSW Homicide Victims Support Group, Sylvanvale, Cronulla Outriggers, Project Youth, Bate Bay Surf Life Saving Clubs, and Neighbourhood Aid.

Brian Boyd proud of the part PAYCE plays

"This is the second year PAYCE has been associated with this popular family event and it is a privilege to support such a wide range of local organisations, big and small in this manner," said Managing Director of PAYCE, Mr Brian Boyd.

Mr Boyd, is extremely proud of the part PAYCE plays, contributing to such an important local event.

"It's a very rewarding and fun way to bring together the community, and a large number of worthy community bodies in order to raise funds for them, and to lift the profiles of their organisations", Boyd continued.

"My best wishes for the day go to the organisers who work so hard, the entertainers, the surf clubs and the many volunteers who give their time willingly to ensure everyone has a good time, and that the charities and the community groups receive the support they deserve."

PAYCE's sponsorship of the IMB Cook Community Classic Event further develops support for local charity and community events across Sutherland Shire, including the annual Cronulla Shark Island Swim and the Sutherland2Surf Fun Run & Walk.

PAYCE General Manager offers best wishes to organisers

Dominic Sullivan, General Manager at PAYCE, has offered his best wishes to the organisers for bringing seven years of successful events to the community and is looking forward to the 8th.

"I appreciate how much the Cook Community Classic means to the various charities and community groups," he said.

"Many of the charities, especially the small ones, survive on the generosity of the local community, and this event is a great example of the wonderful community spirit that exists right across Sutherland Shire.

"I had the pleasure of attending the recent Gala Charity Ball curtain-raiser held at Doltone House along with some of my colleagues, and it proved to be a most enjoyable evening and a great start to the event's program of activities.

"The event is an excellent opportunity for family and friends to join in the fun, and at the same time show their continuing support for the local charities and community organisations that support their community.

"The Cook Community Classic has been a great success for the past seven years and I'm sure this year will prove to be no exception," Sullivan said.
